AMD later announced the Radeon RX 9060 XT, offered in 8 GB and 16 GB configurations. The company positioned it for 1440p gaming with FSR 4 upscaling and accelerated ray tracing; those are AMD’s claims, not independent benchmark results.
What was known before Computex
The April 24, 2025 preview was written before the event. AMD had confirmed a press conference with announcements spanning gaming, AI PCs and enterprise, but the prospect of another Radeon RX 9000-series card was a forecast—not a confirmed reveal. The original preview’s timing matters: the RX 9060 XT announcement came later, on May 20.
AMD’s official Computex 2025 event page framed its gaming lineup around Radeon RX 9060 XT and FSR 4, and also featured the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D mobile gaming processor. Those details describe AMD’s event positioning, not third-party product testing.
What AMD announced: Radeon RX 9060 XT
In its May 20, 2025 announcement, AMD introduced the RX 9060 XT, an RDNA 4 graphics card that the company positioned for 1440p gaming. AMD highlighted FSR 4 machine-learning upscaling and accelerated ray tracing as features of the card.

The confirmed outcome matched the preview’s broad possibility of a Radeon RX 9000-series gaming reveal, but the pre-event article did not know which product AMD would announce. The available announcement supports a comparison of the two versions’ memory capacities and historical suggested launch prices. It does not provide independent benchmarks or a third-party comparison with competing cards, so it cannot establish a performance ranking.

AMD’s event page described FSR 4 as exclusive to Radeon RX 9000-series cards at the time represented on that page. That is a time-bounded statement from AMD’s event material, not a claim about future compatibility. AMD also featured the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D as a mobile gaming processor, but the cited announcement details here do not provide a benchmark or direct comparison for it.
