What to do after the normal ending
When the normal ending returns you to the main menu, select Continue. According to the walkthrough, this loads the last autosave in the safe room before the final boss, giving you a chance to backtrack for any shards you missed.
- Finish the story and reach the normal ending.
- At the main menu, select Continue to load the pre-final-boss safe-room autosave.
- Backtrack through the areas and collect any missing Data Shards.
- With all eight collected, visit the Mainframe in Lower Levels > B3 and turn them in.
- Defeat the final boss again to reach the secret ending.
These post-ending steps are documented by the 100% Guides walkthrough. Epic’s achievement listing corroborates the all-shards milestone with the achievement Shard Collector, described as “All Data Shards found,” but does not document the reload point or secret-ending route.

Some routes require keys or switches. In particular, the walkthrough says you must drain the Reactor Pool to reach the Reactor B1 shard. Use its room-by-room directions for the individual routes; the official achievement listing confirms the all-shards achievement, not these locations.
