In samples Netskope analyzed, the malware could collect account tokens, browser information, game files and more, then send stolen data to online services. The report does not establish how many people were infected, and its findings should not be read as proof that every sample performs every action described.
What RedTiger is—and what the report found
RedTiger is an open-source Python toolkit that bundles red-teaming, security and penetration-testing utilities. The concern in Netskope’s report is its infostealer component: analyzed samples were compiled into Windows executables and appeared designed to target Discord users and gamers.
Filenames and French-language messages in some samples suggested possible targeting of French-speaking users. That is an indication from the analyzed files, not confirmation of a specific distribution channel or the language of all victims.
What the analyzed samples could collect
Netskope describes several capabilities across the samples it examined. These are observed capabilities, not a claim that every run gathered every category of data.

These eye-catching lights give your setup a gamer-ready look while maintaining focus on performance. (*Note: The USB connector is for LED lighting only)
- Discord: The malware searched for token material and validated discovered tokens through Discord’s API. Netskope also describes collection of profile and verification details, and client JavaScript modifications that watched selected API events, including logins and account changes. Payment-related events were also among the targets described.
- Browsers: Collection could include saved passwords, cookies, browsing history, payment-card information and browser extensions.
- Games and other local data: The samples could gather selected files and game-related data, including Roblox-related information.
- Wallets and images: Netskope reports cryptocurrency wallet data collection, screenshots and a webcam snapshot capability.
How stolen data was sent out
In the analyzed chain, the malware archived collected files and uploaded the archive to GoFile. It then sent the download link and victim details through a Discord webhook. Using familiar online services for these steps can make the activity less conspicuous than a custom transfer protocol, but the report does not establish that every sample used an identical sequence.
Anti-analysis behavior is not an infection count
Netskope documented one analyzed sample creating 100 randomly named files and launching 400 processes simultaneously, behavior intended to complicate forensic review. Those figures describe activity by a sample; they do not represent victims, infected PCs or the scale of a campaign. The cited reporting establishes no campaign-wide victim total.

Persistence varies by platform
Netskope says Windows persistence could be enabled at build time by adding a payload to the startup folder. The report describes the Linux and macOS persistence implementations as incomplete without additional files. The findings therefore do not support treating persistence as equally functional across Windows, Linux and macOS.

Before downloading a game tool
- Do not run executables from unverified sources, including purported mods, trainers or boosters.
- Be cautious of files presented as game utilities, especially when their origin cannot be verified. The report identifies compiled binaries, but does not establish one universal delivery method.
If a Discord account may be compromised
BleepingComputer’s October 26, 2025 coverage advises users who suspect compromise to revoke Discord tokens, change passwords, reinstall the desktop client from Discord’s official site, clear saved browser data and enable multi-factor authentication (MFA). Those are account-protection steps reported by BleepingComputer, not a RedTiger-specific verified malware-removal procedure or a guarantee that a PC is clean.
