Use Steam’s Upcoming Releases page to browse games that have not launched, then check each candidate’s store tag and product page for its current release date. Save games you want to follow to your wishlist; if Steam’s experimental Personal Calendar is available to you, it can also show upcoming releases and filter by store tag.
Start with Steam’s Upcoming Releases page
Open Steam’s Upcoming Releases and choose between its two lists:
- Popular Upcoming puts popularity first, making it a quicker place to look for games already drawing attention.
- All Upcoming offers broader coverage when you want to scan beyond the most popular titles.
Steam’s listings show release dates and store tags alongside titles. For example, the page captured on October 4, 2026 listed Valor Mortis with the “Souls-like” tag and an October 13, 2026 date. That is a snapshot of what Steam displayed at that time, not a guaranteed launch date; check the live listing before relying on it.
Use Steam search to narrow the list
Steam’s Coming Soon search is another route to upcoming products and their listed dates. Search for “Souls-like” or use the store’s tag filter if it is available in your current interface, then open each promising game’s product page to verify its tag and date. Browse Steam’s Coming Soon results.

The tag is useful for discovery, but it is a store categorization rather than an editorial guarantee. Not every game that players might call a Soulslike is established as using the “Souls-like” tag, so a tag search may not find every relevant release.

Try Steam’s Personal Calendar if it is available
Steam announced Personal Calendar on October 21, 2025 as a Steam Labs experiment. Its announced features include an upcoming-games view, a store-tag selector, recommendations based on playtime, and inclusion of wishlisted games whether or not the recommendation system selects them. Steam described the calendar as covering an eight-week upcoming horizon, with recommendations refreshed daily. Because it was presented as an experiment, access and behavior may vary; do not assume every account currently has the same controls.

Wishlist games and recheck dates near launch
- Open a candidate’s product page. Check that Steam currently labels it “Souls-like” if the tag matters to your search, and note the release date shown there.
- Add games you want to follow to your wishlist. Steam’s Personal Calendar announcement says wishlisted titles appear there even if they are not recommended.
- Revisit the listing as release approaches. Dates, tags, and upcoming status can change. Treat the store page as a point-in-time listing, not a promise that the date is final.
For a broad sweep, begin with All Upcoming; for a faster popularity-led scan, start with Popular Upcoming. Use tag search to narrow the candidates, then rely on each live product page for the latest listing and save worthwhile finds to your wishlist.
