Nintendo also lists the soundtrack in its Nintendo Music app. CD availability is more difficult to pin down: there is no verified franchise-wide inventory here, so check a specific game and edition rather than assuming the series is available on CD.
Breath of the Wild vinyl: 2-LP or 8-LP?
Nintendo announced the vinyl release with Laced Records, with a stated release date of September 4, 2026. The 2-LP is a selection of 34 tracks; the 8-LP box set contains 130 tracks newly remastered for vinyl. These are different-sized selections, not interchangeable editions with the same track list. Nintendo’s announcement lists U.S. regular prices of $49.99 for the 2-LP and $194.99 for the 8-LP. Those are announcement-page prices, not a guarantee of current checkout prices or availability in every market.
The 2-LP includes selected cues such as “Overworld (Day),” “Great Fairy Fountain,” and “Hyrule Castle.” Nintendo’s Canadian store listing identifies Laced Records as manufacturer and provides the double-LP track list and release date. Check the Canadian listing for its market-specific product details. Nintendo says the collaboration marks the first commercial release of a Nintendo soundtrack on vinyl outside Japan.
| Edition | Coverage | Best fit | Price stated by Nintendo |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2-LP | 34 selected tracks | Listeners who want a smaller selection of cues | U.S. regular price: $49.99 in Nintendo’s 2025 announcement; current price and stock may differ |
| 8-LP box set | 130 tracks, newly remastered for vinyl | Collectors seeking broader soundtrack coverage and a larger set | U.S. regular price: $194.99 in Nintendo’s 2025 announcement; current price and stock may differ |
Vinyl is a physical collectible, but listening requires a turntable and the space to store a multi-record set. The 8-LP’s greater track count is the clearest practical distinction; the available information does not establish a comparative sound-quality result.

Where can you listen digitally?
Nintendo documents Breath of the Wild on Nintendo Music, its app for compatible smart devices. The service offers playlists and recommendations, plus an option to hide spoiler tracks. Nintendo says access requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership, sold separately; a compatible device and internet access are also required, and availability varies by country. See Nintendo’s announcement and service details. Nintendo’s Ocarina of Time listening page likewise says Nintendo Switch Online is required to access Nintendo Music.
Streaming and vinyl serve different needs: Nintendo Music is an app-based listening option subject to membership and regional access, while the records are a physical release that can be kept and played with suitable equipment. Check the app’s current listing for the game you want; a listing for one Zelda soundtrack does not establish that every game is available there.
What about Zelda soundtrack CDs?
CD availability has to be checked game by game and edition by edition. The authoritative listings cited here do not establish a current, comprehensive inventory of Zelda CDs. That does not mean CDs do not exist; it means a past release or a listing for one game is not evidence that the entire series is available on CD now.
Before buying a specific CD, verify the exact game and release title, territory, publisher or label, track list, and the seller’s description of condition. Those details matter because an import, reissue, compilation, or used copy may differ from the release you expect. Current stock should be confirmed with the seller.
Is Zelda & Chill an original game soundtrack?
No. Zelda & Chill is a Zelda-themed rearrangement album, not an original game score release. Black Screen Records describes a limited-edition 150g black vinyl pressing with recreated arrangements drawing on The Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past, Majora’s Mask, The Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, Skyward Sword, and Breath of the Wild. Its listing says Materia Music, GameChops, and the artists are not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Nintendo regarding the album. Read the retailer’s listing and distinguish this kind of licensed remix release from an original soundtrack. Any shipping estimate shown by a retailer can change.

How to choose a format
- Choose the Breath of the Wild 2-LP if you want the documented 34-track selection in a smaller vinyl set.
- Choose the 8-LP box if broader coverage matters more than footprint or price; it contains 130 tracks.
- Use Nintendo Music if the game is listed in your region and you have the required membership, compatible device, and internet access.
- Consider a CD only after checking its exact edition. Confirm the title, territory, label, track list, and condition with a reliable listing.
- Check the release identity when you see a Zelda-branded album: an arranged tribute or remix is not the same product as the original game score.
