The $1,000 LEGO Star Wars Death Star seen in leaked images became the official Ultimate Collector Series set 75419. LEGO announced the 9,023-piece model in 2025; its U.S. launch price was $999.99, and general availability began October 4, 2025.
What the leaked Death Star images turned out to be
Before its official reveal, leaked images and a then-unconfirmed $1,000 price were reported as a rumor. LEGO subsequently confirmed the product as Star Wars Death Star UCS set 75419. The leak was a preview of a real release, not the final word on its status or specifications. LEGO’s official product page identifies the set, while Kotaku’s pre-reveal report documents the rumor context.
How much does LEGO Death Star set 75419 cost?
LEGO’s U.S. launch price was $999.99 in 2025. That is the launch price, not a verified current retail price; prices and stock can change. LEGO Insiders early access began October 1, 2025, and general availability followed on October 4. LEGO’s announcement and product information provide the official release details.
What is included, and how large is the set?
The model contains 9,023 pieces. LEGO and StarWars.com list its dimensions as 20.6 inches high, 18.9 inches wide, and 15.1 inches deep. Those measurements are useful for planning a display location; this is an open, scene-focused structure, not a fully enclosed sphere. These are manufacturer product specifications. StarWars.com’s announcement gives the published dimensions.

What does the model depict?
Rather than concentrating on a smooth exterior replica, set 75419 arranges recognizable scenes and details in an open display build inspired by Star Wars: A New Hope and Return of the Jedi. LEGO presents it as a large adult-oriented UCS build for display and collecting. That scene-rich approach is the key distinction for anyone considering how the set will look on display.
Why the $1,000 price and leak are still part of the story
The leak attracted attention because the reported price was unusually high, but the official release made the headline’s central claim concrete: LEGO launched a Death Star UCS set at $999.99 in the U.S. The confirmed product offers 9,023 pieces and a substantial scene-based display model. The original leaked images explain how the story surfaced; LEGO’s official product information is the source for what the released set actually is.
