Build Yixuan around Max HP, Sheer Force and CRIT, not the usual attack-focused template. Her Auric Ink damage is described as Sheer damage that ignores enemy DEF, and she uses Adrenaline rather than standard Energy. That changes which stats and support effects matter. For specific equipment and team rankings, use a guide maintained for the live patch: Prydwen marks its build and team review for Patch 2.5, while a community HoYoLAB infographic advertises a Version 2.6 rerun update.
How Yixuan’s damage changes her build
Yixuan is an S-Rank Auric Ink agent in the Rupture specialty and Yunkui Summit faction, according to Prydwen’s Yixuan guide. The guide describes her as an on-field damage dealer whose Auric Ink damage is Sheer damage: it ignores enemy DEF and uses Sheer Force as its damage multiplier.
That means a conventional attack-agent build is a poor starting point. The guide says DEF- and PEN-related stats do not influence her Sheer damage, so support effects centered on reducing DEF or boosting PEN may contribute less to her damage than they would for other agents. Prioritize stats that feed her Sheer Force and CRIT instead.
Prioritize HP, Sheer Force and CRIT
Yixuan’s Core Passive rewards Max HP. Prydwen’s guide states that at Core Passive level 1, each point of Max HP adds 0.1 Sheer Force. It also describes Yixuan as converting 10% of her HP into Sheer Force, compared with a general 30% ATK conversion for Rupture agents. These figures are secondary-guide claims, not independently confirmed official values; check the live in-game skill description before relying on exact numbers.

The practical takeaway is to favor HP investment for Yixuan’s damage scaling, then build CRIT where equipment and team choices allow. Do not assume ATK, DEF reduction or PEN is valuable simply because those stats are common in other damage builds.
Account for Adrenaline and her burst flow
Yixuan uses Adrenaline instead of standard Energy. Prydwen describes her default Adrenaline regeneration as 2 per second and says Energy Regen buffs do not help her. Treat the rate as guide-reported rather than an official, independently verified value, and check her current in-game kit for exact behavior.

Her combat loop also involves Auric Ink Points and burst/ultimate flow, so assess a build by how well it supports her time on field and resource use—not just its paper damage stats. The available guide evidence identifies Qingming Birdcage as her signature W-Engine and calls Dialyn an ideal partner, but it does not expose enough equipment or team data to establish a full ranked list.
Choose equipment and teammates by fit, not an unsupported ranking
Drive Disc sets, main stats, W-Engines and teams are patch-sensitive.
