Documented examples, not a “best deals” list

How to judge a deal next time
- Compare the sale price with the game’s usual price and recorded price history; SteamDB recommends checking price history before buying. SteamDB
- Check the edition and region you intend to buy. The examples above do not establish the price or availability for every storefront region.
- Decide whether the game fits your interests and whether you are ready to play it. A large percentage discount alone does not make a purchase worthwhile.
How Steam sales and wishlist alerts work
Valve says any Steam game can join a seasonal sale. A discount of 20% or more automatically triggers an email notification to players who have that game on their wishlist.
