If an FC Squad Building Challenge (SBC) will not submit, first check which format you are playing: FC 27 Simplified SBCs use an Item Score, while puzzle SBCs in FC 27 and SBCs in FC 26 use squad requirements. Then check the active challenge’s rules, make sure every selected Player Item is eligible, and confirm the challenge has not expired. If those checks pass but submission still fails, contact EA Help; EA does not document one universal fix for every technical error.
Why won’t my SBC submit?
The cause usually falls into one of three categories: the selected items do not meet the live challenge rules, an item cannot be used, or the challenge has expired. In FC 27, also check whether the challenge is a Simplified SBC or a traditional puzzle SBC, because they use different completion systems. EA’s current Ultimate Team SBC guidance, updated shortly before October 4, 2026, covers FC 27 and FC 26.
Before changing a squad, inspect the exact challenge and identify the unmet condition. Do not submit a replacement combination until you have reviewed every item: SBC submissions are final, and EA says submitted Player Items cannot be restored.
Why can’t I submit my squad in FC 26 or an FC 27 puzzle SBC?
These SBCs require a squad that meets the criteria shown on the active challenge. EA lists possible conditions such as Squad Rating, Chemistry, Player Quality, Leagues, Nations, and Clubs. Not every challenge uses every condition, and requirements vary, so the live challenge panel—not a generic checklist—is the authority.

- The latest entry in the EA SPORTS FC football simulation series.
- Open the specific SBC and read every displayed requirement.
- Check the submitted squad against each condition, including any additional rule shown in-game.
- If a condition is not met, change the squad to address that condition, then review the full selection and reward before confirming.
For FC 26, an expired SBC no longer accepts a squad. Check the challenge’s remaining time before spending time rebuilding it.
Why does it say my squad doesn’t meet the requirements in FC 27?
First confirm the format. FC 27 includes traditional puzzle SBCs as well as Simplified SBCs. Puzzle SBCs still use squad criteria; a Simplified SBC does not ask you to satisfy an 11-player squad puzzle. It asks you to add eligible Player Items until their Item Score reaches the displayed target.

For a Simplified SBC, follow the Item Score
- Open the Simplified SBC and check its Item Score target and current progress.
- Add eligible Player Items and watch the contribution from each item and the remaining score needed.
- Review the selected items before submitting. If the target is not met, the challenge is incomplete; EA says progress can be saved across sessions.
FC 27 Simplified SBCs can accept partial submissions before the target is reached. Items are removed when submitted, so do not treat a partial submission as a reversible preview. EA says an expired, partially completed Simplified SBC may provide a reduced untradeable reward based on progress.
Could a Player Item be unavailable for an SBC?
Yes. A Player Item tied to an Evolution that is still in progress cannot be submitted. EA’s Evolution guidance states: “You can’t submit Evolution Players in Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) while they’re still in progress.” Wait until the Evolution is complete before trying to use that item; EA says a fully upgraded, completed Evolution Player can be submitted.

What should I check before the final submission?
- Challenge: You have opened the intended SBC and checked its current, displayed requirements or Item Score target.
- Eligibility: None of the selected items is in an Evolution that is still in progress.
- Expiry: The challenge is still active.
- Selection: You have reviewed every item and the reward, and you are willing to lose the submitted items permanently.
EA warns that submitted items cannot be restored by EA Advisors. In FC 27 Simplified SBCs, that applies to partial submissions too: items can be consumed before the full score target is reached.

If the challenge is active, the visible conditions are satisfied, and the selected items are eligible, contact EA Help if the problem persists. EA’s SBC article does not provide a universal repair for every platform, error code, or submit-button failure. It does not establish that clearing a cache, reinstalling the game, changing platforms, or waiting a set amount of time will fix the issue, so avoid treating those steps as guaranteed solutions.
