Because Call of Duty reuses season numbers across annual game cycles, the year and connected game matter: a search result for “Season 5” may refer to the 2025 Black Ops 6 season rather than the 2026 Black Ops 7 season. The earlier launch date is recorded in the 2025 Season 05 announcement.

Black Ops Royale returned to Avalon
Black Ops Royale returned to Avalon without Loadouts, Gulag, or Buy Stations. Players scavenge for weapons and Attachment Kits while competing against 24 rival squads, as described in the Reloaded announcement.

Loaded Resurgence brought custom weapons to the drop
Loaded Resurgence was announced as a weekend limited-time mode on Rebirth Island, Haven’s Hollow, and Fortune’s Keep. Players could drop in with custom Loadout weapons and earn perks through eliminations. The announcement describes the mode as a weekend offering; it does not establish that these playlists remain available now.
Quickdrop Kits and Special Delivery Drones added gameplay rewards
- Quickdrop Kit: Earned by surviving a Most Wanted Contract; it reduces squad redeployment time in Resurgence.

No. As of October 4, 2026, Activision Support listed Season 06, with its page updated September 17, 2026. Season 05 is therefore a past season, not the current one; check the Activision Support season listing for the current-season reference.
