You can customize aircraft with skins and emblems in ACE COMBAT ONLINE. From the Air Base, open the aircraft area, select a plane, and use the visual customization options shown for it. Bandai Namco confirms that skins, emblems, and weathering are available, but its published overview does not give exact menu labels or button prompts—follow the current on-screen instructions rather than relying on unverified controls.
Change a skin or emblem in ACE COMBAT ONLINE
- Enter ACE COMBAT ONLINE and reach the Air Base. Online has progression and save data separate from Campaign Mode, so do not assume an online unlock or customization carries over to the campaign. Bandai Namco’s game page and FAQ describe the modes and separate progression.
- Open the aircraft area from the Air Base and select the aircraft you want to customize.
- Choose a skin or emblem from the visual options available for that aircraft, then confirm using the on-screen prompt. The official ACE COMBAT ONLINE overview confirms skins, emblems, and weathering as customization features, but does not publish a button-by-button procedure.
- If an option is locked, check its source in the game’s ACE PASS rewards or progression. Some cosmetics are seasonal rewards; a locked cosmetic does not mean a paid pass is required to customize aircraft in general.
Appearance choices are distinct from aircraft upgrades: skins and emblems change how a plane looks, while online aircraft levels improve parameters and can unlock aircraft-specific abilities.

Where skins and emblems come from
Bandai Namco’s Season One ACE PASS announcement lists cosmetics on both tracks. The figures below describe Season One rewards, not a guarantee that later seasons will offer the same items or counts.

Both tracks advance through XP earned by completing missions. Bandai Namco says each season lasts two months and rewards change each season. Its Season One announcement gives the reward counts; the official game FAQ describes the free pass as available to all players and Premium Plus as an additional tier that includes a 30-level skip.

The European online overview says aircraft DLC included in a Premium ACE PASS will be available separately after the season ends. That statement concerns aircraft DLC; it does not establish that every skin or emblem will later be sold separately.

The published customization details specifically describe ACE COMBAT ONLINE. Bandai Namco identifies online as a separate mode with its own progression and save data. The official pages cited here do not establish the exact procedure for changing skins or emblems in Campaign Mode, or whether an item unlocked in one mode is available in the other. Check the mode and aircraft shown in your current game before assuming a cosmetic is shared.

If you cannot find the customization option
- Confirm that you are at the online Air Base and have selected an aircraft.
- Look for the current build’s aircraft customization or visual-options labels; exact menu wording and controller or keyboard inputs are not documented in the cited official pages.
- Check whether the specific skin or emblem is unlocked through progression or an ACE PASS reward.
- Do not look among performance parts for appearance choices: upgrade parts and aircraft progression are separate from visual customization.
