The latest rankings available here are two editorial hunter lists updated in October 2026, and they disagree on several placements. Use them as dated guidance—not as a substitute for choosing hunters and weapons that fit your party, encounter, and account.
How to read the current rankings
Pocket Gamer marked its hunter and weapon guide updated October 4, 2026, for version 1.4.46. Gacha Go! marked its hunter list updated October 1, 2026. Their placements are not a shared consensus, and the lists may change after game updates. Pocket Gamer’s guide and Gacha Go!’s hunter list are best read as separate editorial snapshots.
Hunter tier lists: what each guide ranks highly

Its S tier includes Diana Lopez, Jung Yerim, Agnes Rivera, Antoine Martinez, Elena Renault, Sugimoto Reiji, Sian Halat (Igris), Son Kihoon, Laura Walker, Fern, Stark, Frieren, Sung Il-Hwan, Soyeon, Yuqi, Sung Jinah, Shuhua, Cha Hae-In (Pure Sword Princess), Goto Ryuji, Isla Wright, Gina, Go Gunhee, Amamiya Mirei, Alicia Blanche, Baek Yoonho, Lee Bora, Hwang Dongsoo, Lim Tae-Gyu, Kang Taeshik, Nam Chae-Young, Park Heejin, Tawata Kanae, and Meilin Fisher. Gacha Go!’s October 1 list
Gacha Go! places Liu Zhigang, Antoine Martinez, Sian Halat, Fern, Frieren, Sung Il-Hwan, Minnie, Yuqi, Lennart Niermann, Cha Hae-In (Pure Sword Princess), Han Se-Mi, Goto Ryuji, Isla, and Min Byung-Gu in S. Its A tier includes Diana Lopez, Lee Joohee (Pilgrim of the Labyrinth), Jung Yerim, Agnes Rivera, Elena Renault, Sugimoto Reiji, Meri Laine, Amamiya, Christopher Reed, Sung Jin-Ah, Park Heewon, Esil Radiru, Thomas Andre, Go Gunhee, Hanami Mirei, Yoo Sohyun, Meilin Fisher, Alicia Blanche, and Cha Hae-In. The guide also assigns hunters to B, C, and D tiers.
The gap between lists matters when you are deciding whom to build: Seo Jiwoo is S+ for Pocket Gamer but C for Gacha Go!, while Han Se-Mi is S for Gacha Go! and A for Pocket Gamer. Thomas Andre is A on both lists in the supplied rankings. Even similar-looking entries can refer to differently labelled variants, so check names carefully rather than treating every spelling or character label as interchangeable.

Weapon recommendations for Custom Draw
Pocket Gamer’s Custom Draw recommendations are Demonic Plum Flower Sword, The Huntsman, Thethis’ Grimoire, and Demon King’s Longsword. That is the guide’s editorial advice, not an official weapon ranking. Pocket Gamer also notes that pairing a hunter with their default weapon can strengthen that pairing. Its weapon and hunter guide links to a separate weapon tier list.
What the latest official update changes
Netmarble’s August 27, 2026 update introduced Lee Joohee (Pilgrim of the Labyrinth) as a Light-element Buster and added Spirit Blade: Snowstorm, an SSR weapon exclusive to Sung Jinwoo. Netmarble also said: “Balance adjustments have been made to select Sung Jinwoo weapons, hunters, and artifact set effects.” The announcement confirms changes, but does not rank Snowstorm against other weapons. See the Netmarble update announcement for the official details.

Who should you build?
Gacha Go! says its hunter rankings consider raw damage, support utility, and shield-breaking efficiency. Those are useful comparison points, but the best pick for your account also depends on the activity, boss, elemental matchup, party role, weapon pairing, and resources you can invest. Netmarble describes combat as using combinations of skills and weapons, so a highly placed hunter is not automatically the right answer if your party needs a different role or encounter counter.
- For a Custom Draw choice: use Pocket Gamer’s weapon suggestions as a shortlist, then consider the hunter you expect to pair with the weapon.
- For hunter investment: compare both lists where they cover the same character, and treat disagreement as a sign that rank depends on evaluation method or context.
- For a specific boss or activity: prioritize the role and matchup your team needs over a tier label alone.
- For a new or recently adjusted character: account for patch timing; rankings made before balance changes may not reflect the current version.
Netmarble’s August 27 update is the latest relevant official patch identified here; rankings should be reconsidered when a newer update changes characters, weapons, or artifact effects.
