Flame of the Fell God is purchased after defeating the Fire Giant and redeeming the Remembrance. This one is straightforward, but many players accidentally choose the whip and forget to duplicate.
Greyoll’s Roar is unlocked by trading Greyoll’s Remembrance after killing Greyoll in Caelid. Killing her early is fine, but failing to redeem the Remembrance before progressing too far can cause confusion.
Placidusax’s Ruin is the most missed incantation in the game. Dragonlord Placidusax must be defeated by using the hidden “Lie Down” prompt in Farum Azula before Maliketh is killed. If Maliketh dies first, you can still fight Placidusax, but many players never return.
Radagon’s Ring of Light is purchased from Brother Corhyn after completing Goldmask’s questline correctly. If Corhyn dies or the quest is abandoned before the Ashen Capital phase, this incantation is lost.
Achievement Not Popping: Proven Fixes That Work
If every spell above is confirmed in your inventory and the achievement still hasn’t triggered, this is a known system-side issue. Rest at a Site of Grace, fast travel to another region, or fully close and reload the game.
On some platforms, placing all Legendary Sorceries or Incantations into storage, then withdrawing them back into your inventory, forces the achievement check. This does not delete progress and is safe.
Do not respec, discard spells, or start NG+ hoping the system “catches up.” The check only scans your current character inventory.
Final Completionist Checklist Before NG+
Open your Sorceries and Incantations lists and scroll slowly. Count seven Legendary Sorceries and seven Legendary Incantations by name. If even one is missing, retrace that specific acquisition path now.
Confirm all Remembrances tied to Legendary spells were redeemed correctly. Duplicates do not matter if the wrong reward was chosen.
Only once the achievement unlocks should you consider NG+. Elden Ring is generous with builds but unforgiving with missed flags, and Legendary magic is where that philosophy hits hardest.
