Curveclaw is a returning projectile tool in Hollow Knight: Silksong: Hornet throws it forward, and it curves back above her. Nintendo Life reports that you can buy it from the hidden Mottled Skarr merchant in Hunter’s March for 140 Rosaries. Its Act 3 upgrade, Curvesickle, is earned through a target challenge in Far Fields—but guides disagree on the exact target requirement.
What Curveclaw does
Curveclaw is a Red Tool with a boomerang-like flight path: it travels ahead of Hornet, then curves back above her. The available guides describe that behavior but do not establish exact damage values, so there is no supported numerical comparison of its performance with Curvesickle.

How to upgrade Curveclaw to Curvesickle
The guides place the upgrade challenge in a target room in Far Fields during Act 3. They agree that, after completing the challenge, you hand Curveclaw to an ant, rest at a bench, and return to collect Curvesickle. They do not agree on what counts as completing the target challenge.

- Once the challenge is accepted, hand Curveclaw to the ant.
- Rest at a bench, then return to collect Curvesickle. Both guides describe this handoff-and-return sequence; see Nintendo Life and Nerdschalk’s Curvesickle guide.
