Yes—ARC Raiders supports cross-progression when your supported platform accounts are linked to the same Embark ID. That is different from completing an Expedition, which resets much of your Raider’s character progression. Progress from the pre-launch Server Slam did not transfer to the launch game.
Does ARC Raiders have cross-progression?
Yes. Embark’s Help Center says an Embark ID connects your progress, purchases and friends across platforms, and that progress and in-game cosmetics remain tied to that ID. Its cross-progression guidance specifically names Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. To use the feature, link the accounts for those platforms to the same Embark ID.
Embark’s official site also lists the Epic Games Store and GeForce NOW. However, a game’s availability on a platform is not, by itself, confirmation that its save data syncs in the same way. The current cross-progression FAQ explicitly names Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S; check Embark’s latest account guidance for the platform you plan to use.
What to check before switching platforms
Use the same Embark ID
Cross-progression follows the Embark ID, not merely the device or store account. Embark’s account-linking guide says you can link one account per platform. Before starting the game on another platform, make sure that platform account is linked to the Embark ID holding your existing progress.

Relinking does not move your save to another ID
Embark says progress, earned rewards and cosmetics do not transfer if you relink a platform account to a different Embark ID. Real-money purchases are tied to the platform where they were originally bought; some items may disappear from your inventory until that original platform account is linked again.
Do not unlink every platform account
Embark warns that unlinking all third-party platform accounts permanently deletes the Embark ID, along with ARC Raiders progress and earned or purchased cosmetics. If you are trying to fix a link or change accounts, consult Embark Support before removing accounts.

What resets when you complete an Expedition?
An Expedition is an optional in-game reset, not a platform transfer. In an October 9, 2025 post, ARC Raiders design director Virgil said players would lose progress inherent to their character, including levels, skills, inventory, workshop and crafting capabilities. The post described keeping cosmetics, awards, achievements and rankings, while also noting that the system could change.
Embark’s May 13, 2026 development update later announced an Expedition Vault, which allows players to carry over up to five items across an Expedition, including favorite items or blueprints. The Vault adds a limited carry-over option; it does not mean that all character progression survives a reset.

Does Server Slam or beta progress carry over?
No. Embark’s October 22, 2025 Server Slam announcement said progress earned during that pre-launch test would not transfer to the launch version. It also said participants would receive an exclusive test backpack after purchasing the full game. That one-time test policy is separate from cross-progression for live play.
