What kind of game is GrimKeep?
GrimKeep adapts the build-and-optimize loop of a deckbuilder into a bag of dice. During a run, you find items, roll dice to activate their effects, and assemble combinations of bonuses and multipliers. Dice can provide effects such as poison, healing, or gold, while defensive choices, stuns, and route selection add tactical trade-offs.

The setting is a monster-infested, dark fairytale city. The stated goal is to reach the castle and defeat the Princess. PlayStation describes the game as drawing on fairytales and Lovecraftian horror; repeated runs unlock characters, items, and encounters.
What the Crucible does

What is known about development?
In an August 2026 Steam Community devlog, the GrimKeep team said it invited around 50 people—primarily fans of roguelites and deckbuilders—to a two-week alpha. The developers described adjusting healing availability and difficulty, as well as work on item and player-directed progression. That figure describes a small developer-run playtest, not a representative survey or an independent assessment of the finished game.
