What it is
Digimon World: Next Order is a role-playing game from Bandai Namco Forge Digitals, set in a Digital World thrown into chaos by Machinedramon. As a Digidestined, you recruit Digimon companions and work to restore order while confronting virus-infected Digimon. Choose a male or female protagonist and explore with two Digimon at once, drawing from a roster of more than 200 to collect. Caring for companions means feeding, training, disciplining and helping them Digivolve; bonds between the protagonist and both Digimon can affect the chance of victory. Battles use an AI system in which the pair fights cooperatively while you issue commands and encouragement. You can also develop Floatia by recruiting Digimon, upgrading buildings and growing crops. The Steam release is for Windows and includes single-player, achievements, full controller support, Trading Cards, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing. The game is also listed for PlayStation Vita. It was released in 2016, with its Steam release dated Feb 21, 2023.
