What it is
Dodonpachi Resurrection is CAVE’s bullet-hell shoot-’em-up, released on Steam for Windows. Its story follows android Next EXY, who has travelled a thousand years into the past with her Elemental Daughters; players are ordered to stop them. Choose from three ships and three Styles, then use the Hyper Counter to cancel bullets and build score or the Counter Laser to clash with enemy lasers. The game includes eight modes, among them Normal 1.5, Normal 1.51, Arrange A, Arrange B, Novice and Black Label. The modes offer different rule sets and ways to play, from a newcomer-oriented option to arrangements with alternate mechanics. It supports single-player as well as multiplayer and co-op, including shared and split-screen play. Steam features include controller support, achievements, trading cards, cloud saves and leaderboards.
