What it is
DragonStrike is a dragon combat simulator from Westwood Studios, set in the Dragonlance world of Krynn. Released in 1990, it casts the player as a Solamnic Knight flying a good dragon against the forces of evil during the War of the Lance. Combat takes place from a first-person viewpoint above Ansalon, against enemy dragons, ships, castles, flying citadels and other creatures. Dragons fight with talons, fangs and breath weapons, while riders can use dragonlances and magical items earned through successful missions. The campaign spans more than 20 missions and three orders of Solamnic Knighthood, with more powerful dragon mounts available as players progress. Its world includes generated terrain such as mountains, plains and castles. The listed platforms include Windows and several older systems; Steam features list single-player, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing.
