What it is
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers is a third-person shooter from Yuke's set in a parallel world where Earth is built from digital blocks. After the square planet is shattered, EDF soldiers must defend it and restore peace. Rescue scattered soldiers and recruit them to build a team of up to four characters for each mission. You can switch between teammates during battle and use their different traits as situations change. The roster includes block-style characters from earlier EDF games and spinoffs, alongside familiar weapons, vehicles, and enemies. The story and cast draw on the series’ past while presenting a separate square-world setting. Play solo or join up to four players in online co-op. On Windows, Steam lists single-player, multiplayer, co-op, achievements, full controller support, trading cards, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing.
