What it is

Earthworm Jim 2 is a side-scrolling run-and-gun platformer developed by Shiny Entertainment and released in 1995. It sends Jim on a chase across the galaxy, with stops including Evil the Cat’s Circus of the Scars and the planet of Meat. His tasks include saving cows, thwarting lawyers, and outsmarting Psy-Crow. The game brings back characters such as Princess What’s-Her-Name, Psy-Crow, Peter Puppy, and Bob the Goldfish, alongside new villains. Its listed features include more than five new weapons and unusual level designs. Jim can whip, run, jump, fly, and swing with Snott; one disguise turns him into a blind cave salamander. The Steam version supports single-player and Family Sharing. Steam platforms are Windows, macOS, and Linux, while the broader platform list also includes Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Interplay Inc. is the publisher.
