What it is
Euro Fishing is a fishing simulation from Dovetail Games, released in 2015 for Windows. It focuses on casting, reeling, equipment choices and reading conditions to land fish at five European locations, including Digger Lakes and St John’s Lake. In-game tutorials introduce the basics, while fishing can also begin directly at a pre-set peg or from the lake bank. Fish respond to water temperature, time of day, weather and bait, and players can look for visible fish activity before choosing where to cast. The game offers single-player fishing and hosted multiplayer tournaments, where catches can be tracked and compared in real time. Steam features include achievements, leaderboards, Steam Cloud, full controller support, Remote Play on TV and Family Sharing. A basic power-bar casting option is also described for players starting with the game’s casting system.
