At a glance

Loop8: Summer of Gods is a coming-of-age RPG by Marvelous, set in rural Japan in August 1983. You play Nini, a newly earthbound teenager arriving in Ashihara with one month before the world may end. Explore the town, build relationships with its residents and fight the Kegai in turn-based battles whose outcomes depend on choices and bonds. Nini can reset the world to the start of August, giving him and his allies another chance to change events and pursue different endings. Everyday activities around town, including visiting a restaurant or shops, are part of the cycle; actions in ordinary life can affect encounters in the Underworld, and vice versa. The game is single-player and includes Steam Achievements, full controller support, Steam Trading Cards, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing. It is listed for Windows. Marvelous developed it, and XSEED Games, Marvelous USA, Inc. and Marvelous Europe are listed as publishers. The release date is Jun 6, 2023.
