What it is
Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim is a real-time strategy game from 1C Company set in the kingdom of Ardania. Players rule the realm, but heroes act according to their own priorities rather than following direct orders; monetary incentives are used to influence what they do. The campaign contains 16 missions across four chapters, alongside quick missions and multiplayer maps. Players build a fantasy city and defend it from monsters with classes including warriors, wizards and barbarians; the game offers more than 10 classes. Multiplayer supports up to four players over LAN. The game is available for Windows and macOS, and Steam lists single-player and Family Sharing. Paradox Interactive is the publisher. Majesty 2 was released in 2009 and is the official sequel to Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim, released in 2000.

Who it suits
Majesty 2 suits strategy players who enjoy managing a realm indirectly, using incentives to guide independent heroes. Its campaign and LAN multiplayer also offer options for solo missions or group play.
Majesty 2 centers its strategy on steering heroes rather than issuing direct commands. Its campaign, varied classes and LAN multiplayer give players several ways to manage and defend Ardania.
