What it is
MakeRoom is a single-player sandbox building game for creating rooms, gardens, boats, and camper setups. You can follow guided design requests to learn its tools or skip them and build freely with more than 1,100 objects. The game also lets you make custom furniture from scratch, then move, rotate, resize, and recolor objects to shape a scene. Backgrounds, environments, and ambient sound options provide finishing touches. You can photograph creations with filters and visual effects, share them through Steam Workshop, and browse more than 6,000 community creations. MakeRoom includes Steam Achievements, full controller support, adjustable text size, and options for mouse-only or touch-only play. Developed by Kenney and published by Wholesome Games Presents, it released for Windows on August 7, 2025.
