What it is
Radiant Silvergun is Treasure’s action shoot ’em up, set around a mystery that threatens humanity on Earth and in space. Released on Steam for Windows in 2023, it has single-player, multiplayer and co-op, including shared or split-screen play. Enemies attack from every direction across varied terrain, and six stages contain 23 bosses. The score system rewards defeating enemies in particular sequences and finding hidden score items; weapons grow stronger as you defeat enemies and raise your score. Five difficulty levels are available, along with a story mode and a mode using rules from Ikaruga. Full controller support is listed, including DualShock and DualSense support. The game’s premise begins after a strange object’s light destroys humanity, leaving the crew of the TETRA space cruiser to fight for survival when their supplies run out. Its genres include action, shoot ’em up, post-apocalyptic and science fiction.
