What it is
Risk: Factions is a strategy game from Stainless Games built around world-conquest battles. Players choose among five armies—Human, Cat, Robot, Undead or Yeti—each with different abilities, and can play with classic rules or objective-based and world-conquest scenarios. A campaign mode unlocks factions, while online matches let players invite friends and check leaderboards. Battles also introduce maps with terrain that can change, including flooding territories, nuclear fallout and missile silos to manage. The game adds dice-based Overkill moments and a drag-and-drop fast battle attack. Steam lists single-player and multiplayer, achievements, partial controller support and Family Sharing. Its Steam release is for Windows. The combination of recognizable territory-control rules and faction abilities gives players both a familiar conquest framework and scenario variations.
