What it is
Romance of the Three Kingdoms XII with Power Up Kit is Koei's expanded edition of the twelfth strategy game in the series. Its battles draw on historical events such as Guandu and Chibi, and use special large-scale strategies called Gambits to shape climactic real-time engagements. Choosing strategies to suit changing battlefield conditions is part of the battle system. The Power Up Kit improves the Gambit system and adds City Technologies, foreign tribes, new equipment, and an editor for officers and strategies. This release is listed as single-player, with Steam Cloud and Family Sharing support. Its listed platforms are Windows and PlayStation 3, while the Steam platform listing specifies Windows.
