What it is

Rooms: The Main Building is a puzzle adventure from Hudson Soft built around sliding-room puzzles. Set in Rooms Mansion, it presents more than 100 rooms where you move the character across tiles and shift the room section beneath them to reach an exit. Each room requires planning, since only the tile the character stands on can be moved. Objects and devices offer further ways through: telephones can transport you across a room, explosives can break walls or obstacles, and water-filled rooms may need to be pumped out. Escaping puzzles awards golden puzzle pieces needed to secure a way home. The game also includes the Rooms Street and Rooms Mansion areas, where you can interact with non-player characters and find useful items. The Steam listing includes single-player, trading cards, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing. Steam platforms are Windows and macOS; the game is also listed for Nintendo DS and Wii, including exclusive levels for those versions.
