What it is
Silent Sector is an open-world sci-fi RPG from Rake in Grass, set in a remote part of the galaxy where factions compete over the valuable mineral Eldorite. After losing their ship and cargo, players must find a way to repay a debt and seek revenge against Admiral Zed. The game combines space simulation, an adventure story and quick dogfights. Its large, semi-randomly generated space includes dozens of ships to travel in, along with weapons, missiles, lasers and upgrades. Players can pursue different roles, including merchant, miner, mercenary or adventurer, and help one of seven factions take on rivals through quests. Choices can have consequences, and random quests and events add further exploration. The game’s tone includes crude humor and a Wild West influence, alongside an atmospheric soundtrack. On Steam, it is a single-player Windows game with achievements, full controller support, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing.
