What it is

Sonic Generations is a platform game that brings Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic together in an adventure built around revisiting familiar stages. A mysterious force creates time holes that send Sonic and his friends into the past, where he encounters a younger version of himself. Players control both Sonics, each with a distinct move set and track design, across recreated environments drawn from the series’ history. Completing levels frees captured friends and unlocks further challenges, while boss and rival encounters add other tests along the way. The game also includes the Casino Night DLC at no extra charge, according to its store description. Steam features include single-player, achievements, full controller support, Steam Cloud, stats, leaderboards, Remote Play on phone, tablet and TV, and Family Sharing. Developed by Sonic Team and published by SEGA, it released in 2011. The Steam version is listed for Windows.
