What it is

Strikers 1945 II is a vertically scrolling shooter developed by Zerodiv and published by CITY CONNECTION. First appearing in arcades in 1997, it sends players through seven levels and lets them choose among six World War II-era aircraft with different characteristics. Power-up items improve the plane, bombs clear enemy bullets and a gauge-powered Super Shot provides a special attack. Arcade mode offers seven difficulty settings, including Hard and Very Hard, while configurable options let players adjust lives, continues, controls and screen orientation. A vertical display mode can also be played in horizontal orientation, and screen filters are available. The game includes local rankings across difficulty settings and online rankings, plus Score Attack. Steam lists single-player, multiplayer, co-op and shared/split-screen play, along with Achievements, Leaderboards and partial controller support. It is listed for Windows and Xbox Series X|S; Steam specifies Windows.
