What it is
The Past Within is a 2022 co-op-only puzzle adventure from Rusty Lake. Two players investigate the mystery around Albert Vanderboom, with one exploring the past and the other the future. Each player sees a different environment and perspective, and they must communicate what they observe to solve puzzles and help Rose carry out her father’s plan. The game mixes 2D and 3D views across the two worlds. Both players need their own copy, along with a way to communicate; there is no solo mode described.
