Touhou Bunkachou ~ Shoot the Bullet
By Team Shanghai Alice, released 1 Jan 2005
- Microsoft Windows
What it is
Touhou Bunkachou ~ Shoot the Bullet is a single-player shoot 'em up from Team Shanghai Alice. You control Aya Shameimaru, a tengu newspaper reporter who photographs enemies to clear stages. The central challenge is avoiding enemy bullets while framing a target: a photo only counts when the subject is included, and each stage requires a set number of successful shots. Film must recharge between pictures, either gradually or faster when you combine the designated controls. Holding the photo button enters finder mode, allowing you to aim at a nearby area, but the focus frame shrinks and can eventually cause a failed shot. Photographs that capture enemy bullets can clear them, and scores depend on successful pictures, including how many bullets are captured and how centrally the boss is framed. The highest-scoring picture in each mission is saved in Aya’s notebook. The game is listed for Windows, with Steam Cloud and Family Sharing support.

Who it suits
This suits players who enjoy shoot 'em ups that make aiming and timing photographs central to stage progress. It may also appeal to players interested in scoring well by capturing enemy bullets and framing bosses carefully.
Shoot the Bullet makes photography both the way to clear stages and a tool for managing incoming bullets. Success depends on careful positioning, shot timing, and making each limited picture count.
