What it is
Touhou Fuujinroku ~ Mountain of Faith is a shoot ’em up from Team Shanghai Alice. The player moves a character and fires at enemies, avoiding enemy attacks, bullets and lasers; a hit causes a mistake, and losing a life when none remain ends the game. Moving to the top of the screen collects all items on screen, while moving slowly draws nearby items toward the character. Keyboard controls cover movement, shooting, a special attack, slow movement, pausing and replay or message controls. A configurable gamepad can also be used for movement and the same listed actions. The story centers on the Hakurei Shrine, where its shrine maiden Reimu is concerned about dwindling human faith and a strange visitor’s demand that the shrine close or be handed over to a deity on a mountain. The game is listed for Windows and includes single-player, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing.
