What it is
Yohane the Parhelion: Blaze in the Deepblue is a 2D metroidvania from Inti Creates, released in 2023 for Windows and Xbox Series X|S. It is an official Love Live! Sunshine spin-off, set in Yohane’s fantasy world. Yohane and her partner Lailaps enter a monster-filled labyrinth to find her missing friends.
Exploration turns up items, materials and rescued companions that help Yohane progress through the dungeon. Materials can be combined through the Casting system to make weapons and accessories, while the powers of found items and friends aid the journey. The labyrinth includes hidden places such as temples, ruins and a sunken ship. Some areas rearrange themselves between visits, changing the layout of those sections. Steam lists single-player play, full controller support, achievements, trading cards, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing. The game focuses on dungeon exploration, equipment crafting and uncovering secrets as Yohane pushes farther into the labyrinth.
