What it is
Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a third-person shooter and survival horror game from Rebellion Developments, released in 2020. Set in an alternate 1940s Europe, it continues the story of Zombie Army Trilogy: after Zombie Hitler is cast into Hell, the dead rise again and the Survivor Brigade follows a sinister plan across Italy and beyond. The campaign takes players through corpse-filled canals, a zombie zoo and other dangerous locations. It supports single-player and multiplayer, including online co-op, for groups of 1–4 players. Combat draws on Rebellion’s ballistics, with weapons and an X-ray kill camera that shows damage in slow motion. Players can rank up, customize their slayer with abilities and unlock outfits, emotes and taunts. The game is listed for Windows and includes Steam achievements, in-app purchases, and support for DualShock and DualSense controllers. Rebellion is both its developer and publisher. Its Metacritic score is 74.
