What it is
BotW Save Editor is a free, self-hosted homebrew save editor for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Nintendo Switch. It can edit inventory, towers, locations, Koroks, weather, demos, picked-up items, and other progression data. Release notes add Main Quests, gamepad input, Amiibo Data and Reset, defeated enemies, difficulty scaling, and a map position view. Weather controls cover three days, and one release addressed unreadable save data. The repository provides BotwSaveEditor.nro version 0.1.6. Its README instructs users to place the NRO file in the console's Switch folder, using ftpd or a similar program. The project is licensed under BSD 2-Clause. Building requires devkitA64, with npm commands described for producing the NRO. The initial release advises backing up save data before editing and directs users with problems to file an issue or contact the developer.
