What it is

Nitrado offers hosted game servers that are available immediately, with a configurator that lets customers change the game on their server. Its general game-server page lists switching among 80 games, while server features include FTP and web access, backups, a MySQL database and a subdomain. Plans are priced per slot, with runtimes from 3 to 365 days; there is no free plan or trial. A listed DayZ plan costs $12.99 a month for 8 slots and names PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Nitrado says all server plans include DDoS protection, and most game servers have backups, though availability varies by game. Backups are created daily and sometimes hourly. Free 24/7 support is available by email and chat in seven languages. NitrAPI is an OAuth2-authenticated HTTP REST API for automating actions such as ordering and cancellation. The mobile app is no longer available to download, but the website can be used to manage services from a phone. Nitrado says it was founded in 2001.
