VGSources / Best Mod Managers / Prismo
What it is
Prismo publishes Zephyr, a free, open-source desktop mod manager for Linux, macOS, and Windows. Zephyr lets you browse, install, update, and organize mods for about 200 games. Its built-in source access combines Thunderstore and CurseForge browsing, while profiles let you create and switch between separate mod setups for each game. You can share a profile through a code or link, and optional cloud sync uses Discord sign-in to synchronize profiles across devices. The app also includes an Archipelago multiworld randomizer with a bundled Python runtime, a configuration editor, gamepad navigation, and seven languages. Without signing in, profiles, configuration files, and preferences remain on your device; public mod metadata is requested anonymously. Cloud-sync archives and metadata are stored with Prismo Studios' hosting provider in France. Zephyr is GPL-3.0 licensed, with Windows .exe, Linux AppImage and .deb, and macOS .dmg downloads.

Who it suits
Zephyr suits players managing mods across multiple games and platforms. It also fits groups that share mod profiles or users who want optional Discord-based synchronization.
Zephyr combines broad game coverage, profile management, and two major mod sources in one desktop app. Its local-first behavior and optional sharing make it suitable for both individual setups and shared mod configurations.
