What it is

RePlays is a free, GPL-3.0-licensed tool for recording, clipping, and sharing gameplay. It automatically manages recordings from detected running games and includes a clip editor for preparing short videos. Instant replay is supported, and recording uses libobs from the OBS Project. Integrations are listed for Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege; these can bookmark events such as kills, assists, and deaths. Windows users can download an installer from the latest release. Linux support is still a work in progress and generally requires building from source. The project uses C (.NET 8), TypeScript, and React, with WebView2 on Windows and WebKit2GTK on Linux. Uploaded videos and other data are stored on servers in the EU. RePlays.app accepts videos made with RePlays, but not videos recorded directly from mobile devices.

Who it suits

It suits Windows players who want automatic recordings, instant replay, game-event bookmarks, and a clip editor. Linux users can use it if they are prepared to build the software from source.

RePlays combines automatic recording, instant replay, and game-specific bookmarks with a sharing workflow. Windows has the straightforward installation path, while Linux users face a source-build requirement.
