In short
X Minecraft Launcher: Choose XMCL when you want one free desktop app for multiple Minecraft instances and modded resources. Its loader range, marketplace sources, dependency controls, Java handling, and export tools cover a lot of setup work. Be comfortable with experimental Bedrock support, community channels for help, and a project that is independent rather than affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.
