In short
Kretase: Choose Kretase when you want to host Minecraft and several other server types on infrastructure you control, without a panel subscription. The installer, container limits, monitoring, backups, scheduling, and team permissions cover a useful operating baseline. Minecraft-specific managers add value for modded or plugin servers. You still need to supply and maintain a Linux machine, and the project openly warns that it is young. Groups seeking a managed service or established production hardening should use another option.
Minepanel: Minepanel makes sense for a Minecraft host who wants Java and Bedrock under one self-managed dashboard and is comfortable operating Docker. It offers broad server software coverage, useful diagnostics, detailed monitoring, role-based access and several notification and storage choices. The main reservation is recovery: backups exist, but restoring one is not a one-click task. Hardware limits also determine how many servers you can run. Choose it when control and a free MIT-licensed tool matter more than managed hosting or hands-off maintenance.
