“Namco Bandai” is the familiar legacy name; the publisher’s current branding is Bandai Namco Entertainment. This is an editorial ranking, not an official list: it weighs historical importance, how clearly each game represents a distinct Namco series or genre, how approachable it is to play today, and variety across the ten picks. Arcade collections appear as practical ways to play several classics, but they are not ranked as individual games.
10. Rolling Thunder
A side-scrolling action game with a distinct secret-agent flavor, Rolling Thunder earns a place for representing a different corner of Namco’s arcade catalog than its maze and space-shooter hits. It is included in the Nintendo Switch version of Namco Museum, alongside its sequel, Rolling Thunder 2. The collection also documents challenge modes and horizontal or vertical screen layouts.
9. The Tower of Druaga
This maze-based action game offers a more puzzle-driven, exploratory experience than the quick reflex tests elsewhere on the list. Its continued presence in more than one official collection makes it a useful pick for readers who want to explore Namco’s older arcade range. It is included in both Namco Museum for Nintendo Switch and Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1.
8. PAC-MAN Championship Edition
This is a standalone PAC-MAN series game rather than a compilation entry: its inclusion broadens the familiar maze-chase idea beyond the original arcade game. The official PAC-MAN Museum+ roster includes PAC-MAN Championship Edition among its 14 series games. That collection is listed for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch; check the current listing for the edition and platform you intend to use.

7. Splatterhouse
Splatterhouse brings horror-themed action to a ranking otherwise weighted toward bright arcade landmarks. Its inclusion reflects the breadth of Namco’s catalog, not a claim that every player will prefer its tone. The original game appears in the Nintendo Switch Namco Museum collection; Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti, a separate series entry, is listed in Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1.
6. Tekken 8
Tekken 8 earns its spot as the list’s modern fighting-game representative and a current entry in one of the publisher’s best-known series. The official page describes it as a fighting game for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with one-to-two-player local play and two-player online play. Those are the listed modes and platforms; check the page for current edition details: Tekken 8.

5. Galaxian
As a fixed-screen space shooter, Galaxian adds a different arcade rhythm from PAC-MAN’s maze navigation and Dig Dug’s digging. It is available as part of Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1, whose publisher listing names PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Those platforms apply to the collection, not to a separately verified standalone release.
4. Dig Dug
Dig Dug turns an underground maze into an action arena: players tunnel through the ground and confront enemies in a way that gives the game its own identity among Namco’s arcade classics. It is included in the Nintendo Switch Namco Museum and in Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1, listed for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Galaga is the list’s essential arcade shooter: its waves of attacking enemies make it a natural counterpart to the maze-based and action picks. The Nintendo Switch Namco Museum collection includes it, as does the publisher’s Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1. The publisher’s page for the latter lists PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
2. PAC-MAN
The original PAC-MAN is the clearest single-game choice on this list: an immediately recognizable maze-chase design that anchors a franchise spanning many different kinds of games. The original appears in the Nintendo Switch Namco Museum, in Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1, and among the 14 series games in PAC-MAN Museum+. The latter is listed for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
1. PAC-MAN VS.
PAC-MAN VS. takes the familiar maze formula in a multiplayer direction, making it a distinctive choice to top a varied ranking. The Nintendo Switch Namco Museum page lists it as one of the collection’s games, alongside classic arcade titles such as PAC-MAN, Galaga, and Dig Dug. The page also describes challenge modes and horizontal or vertical screen layouts for the collection; it does not establish that every included game uses each feature in the same way.

The right choice depends on whether you want a broad arcade sampler, a PAC-MAN-focused set, or a collection of older console-era entries. The official listings describe different rosters and platforms; they do not provide a comparative quality assessment.

How to choose what to play
- For a first taste of Namco arcade games: start with PAC-MAN, Galaga, and Dig Dug; all three appear in the Switch Namco Museum collection.
- For range beyond the best-known hits: look at the separate lineups in Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1 and the Switch Namco Museum. The collections share some titles but are not interchangeable.
- For PAC-MAN variety: PAC-MAN Museum+ groups 14 games from across the series rather than serving as a general Namco arcade compilation.
- For a modern fighting game: Tekken 8 is the individual game here with publisher-listed PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions.
