There is no official, data-backed ranking of 2XKO’s champions. Riot’s September 8, 2026 patch 1.3.1 notes say the update adjusted known balance outliers, but do not publish character win rates, matchup results, or a strongest-to-weakest order. The most accurate tier list for that patch is therefore a practical framework—not a claim of tournament consensus. This guide explains how to compare the roster, what the patch evidence does and does not establish, and why your Point, Assist, and Fuse can change a character’s value.
What this 2XKO tier list can—and cannot—rank
Patch 1.3.1, effective September 8, 2026, is the version anchor for this roster snapshot. Riot described its balance work as targeting known outliers, but its notes do not supply a complete ranking or character-level performance statistics. That makes a definitive S-to-D list unsupported by the available official evidence.
Instead of inventing placements, use the following criteria to assess competitive usefulness. A tier assignment based on these criteria would still be editorial judgment unless it is backed by a transparent dataset. Riot’s patch notes are useful for identifying version context and individual adjustments, not for proving a character’s overall rank: 2XKO patch notes: 1.3.1.
- Neutral and pressure: How reliably can the character approach, control space, and create or sustain offensive turns?
- Defense and consistency: How well can they respond to pressure, and how repeatably can a player use their tools?
- Conversions and assist value: What can they do after a hit, and how much do they contribute when supporting their partner?
- Team flexibility: How well do they function as Point or Assist alongside different partners and Fuses?
- Learning demands: How much execution and game-plan knowledge does it take to use them effectively? This is a separate question from competitive strength.
Keep those judgments tied to a stated target: a character in isolation, their strongest known pairing, or their average usefulness across teams are different comparisons. Likewise, a beginner-friendly ranking should not be presented as a high-level competitive ranking.

Riot announced on August 20 that Samira was planned for October in patch 1.3.3 and described her as the final planned champion. The announcement is not confirmation that she became playable, so check the 1.3.3 release notes before treating her as part of the live roster: Riot’s August 20 announcement.

Why Point, Assist, and Fuse change a character’s value
A 2XKO loadout uses two distinct characters—Point and Assist—and a Fuse. The official EU Community Series rulebook describes that structure. Because characters can serve different roles and their utility depends on partners and Fuse choice, one universal character order can obscure how a team actually works.
- Point: Judge the character for the tools and game plan they bring when leading the team.
- Assist: Consider the support they provide to the Point character, rather than assuming their solo strengths tell the whole story.
- Fuse and pairing: Reassess the combination as a complete loadout; a character’s usefulness may change with the partner and Fuse.
For a useful personal ranking, first decide which role and team context you care about, then compare characters using the criteria above. Do not read a character’s placement in one team as proof that they have the same value in every pairing.

What patch 1.3.1 says about balance
Riot’s patch-note introduction says the main focus was “to make major balance adjustments to all of the known outliers in our cast, and clean up any remaining bugs.” The notes also added Lux and include sections for the 16 champions listed above. That confirms a substantial balance pass; it does not reveal which characters are strongest overall or how the changes affected match outcomes.
Riot’s August announcement described Lux as “a shoto-inspired character with a simple kit, who harnesses the power of light to illuminate her enemies.” That is a useful official description, but “simple kit” alone does not establish her competitive tier or guarantee that she is easy for every player to master.

Patch 1.3.1 automatically unlocked all champions. Riot’s August announcement said Fuses remained unlockable through tutorials. The same announcement said ranked lobbies were disabled starting with 1.3.1, while casual lobbies remained skill-matched.
