This selection includes three new-game launches and one major PlayStation arrival for a game already available on PC and Xbox: South of Midnight (April 8), Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on PS5 (April 17), and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves (both April 24). “Biggest” here is an editorial selection, not a measured sales or audience ranking.
What games are coming out in April 2025?
These four releases offer a cross-platform snapshot of April’s notable schedule. The table separates a brand-new game launch from a new platform version, so the PS5 date for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is not mistaken for its original debut.

Which April releases are new games, and which are platform arrivals?
South of Midnight — April 8
Compulsion Games’ South of Midnight is a third-person action-adventure game starring Hazel, whose journey enters a darkly magical world inspired by Southern Gothic folklore. Xbox Wire lists Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, and its April release preview says the game was available through Game Pass at launch. Xbox Wire’s Developer_Direct recap describes the game and its premise; its April 7–11 release preview confirms the date, platforms and Game Pass availability.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle — PS5, April 17
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle arrived on PS5 on April 17. That date marks a new platform version, not the game’s first release: it had already been available on PC and Xbox Series X|S. GameSpot’s April release roundup lists the PlayStation arrival.

The platform distinction matters if you are checking availability: the official Xbox announcement points readers to the developer for information about other platforms. See the Xbox Wire announcement and GameSpot’s platform listing.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves — April 24
SNK’s Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is a fighting game listed for PC, PS5, PS4 and Xbox Series X|S.
