Nodecraft is the best overall FiveM host for most new communities because its RAM-based plans and managed tools make it easier to start small and scale. Shockbyte is a straightforward option for smaller slot-based servers, while Nitrado offers clear slot tiers and a broad location selector. The right choice depends on your players’ location, resource load, budget, and how much server administration you want to handle.
The six providers below are the hosts currently listed on FiveM’s official hosting page: Nodecraft, Shockbyte, Nitrado, GPORTAL, ZAP-Hosting, and xREALM. Partner status is a useful screening signal, not proof that a provider is faster or more reliable than the others. Prices and product details cited here were checked on August 16, 2026; plans, promotions, and checkout prices can change.

These figures are not a strict like-for-like price ranking. They mix RAM and slot plans, introductory rates, 30-day terms, and starting prices. Check the selected location, tax, billing period, renewal amount, hardware allocation, and included backup policy at checkout.
How these providers were selected
The shortlist follows the current Cfx.re/FiveM authorized-host list, then distinguishes providers by plan model, price transparency, management tools, backup and DDoS claims, locations, and scaling options. Official listing does not certify a comparative performance ranking. The available product information does not establish controlled results for tick rate, CPU contention, ping, restore times, or support response times, so this guide does not claim that one host is objectively fastest or most reliable.

Provider feature and price statements below are attributed to their product pages. Treat marketing phrases such as “low latency,” “no lag,” or “unlimited” as claims to verify, not measured outcomes.
1. Nodecraft: best overall for ease and flexible scaling
Best for: beginners who want a managed setup, and communities that expect their scripts or player base to grow.
Nodecraft sells FiveM plans by RAM rather than presenting only a fixed player-slot number. Its page listed 2 GB for $6.99 for the first month, then $9.98/month; 3 GB for $10.49 initially, then $14.98/month; and 6 GB for $20.99 initially, then $29.98/month. Custom configurations are listed from 2 GB to 32 GB. The page also displays alternate annual promotional pricing, so compare the precise billing term and renewal amount rather than using the lowest visible figure as the ongoing cost.
The provider advertises a control panel, static IP, always-online hosting, automated tasks, DDoS protection, custom FiveM recipes/resources, and txAdmin. Cloud save/swap may suit owners who also run other supported games. Trial options are advertised, but eligibility and terms should be confirmed at checkout.
Main limitation: RAM is only one part of server capacity. CPU performance, scripts, database activity, streamed assets, and configuration also affect how well a server handles players. Nodecraft’s RAM tiers make resource scaling legible, but they do not translate into a guaranteed number of smooth player slots.
Verdict: The strongest all-around starting point if you value a managed experience and a clear path to add resources. Compare the renewal rate with slot-based alternatives before committing.
2. Shockbyte: best for a straightforward small slot plan
Best for: first-time owners and small groups who prefer to budget by player count.
Shockbyte’s FiveM page listed a 12-player plan at $12.99/month, a 24-player plan at $15.99/month, and a plan labeled “Unlimited Players” at $24.99/month. Its broader game-hosting catalogue showed FiveM starting at $6.74, a different figure that may reflect a different configuration, promotion, or page context. Compare the actual FiveM configuration in checkout rather than treating the catalogue price as equivalent to the named plans.
Shockbyte advertises txAdmin, full file access, automatic backups, DDoS protection, global locations, and 24/7 support. It also advertises a self-serve refund window; read the current terms to confirm eligibility and deadlines. Its product page includes differing uptime language, including 99.9% and 100% references. Use a contractual service-level agreement, if one applies, rather than treating marketing copy as a guarantee.
The “Unlimited Players” label is not a promise of unlimited practical capacity. Cfx.re authorization, the server’s hardware and configuration, and the scripts it runs still matter. Slot count alone also does not reveal CPU or RAM allocation.
Verdict: A practical shortlist option for a small community that wants familiar slot-based pricing and file access. Verify which price applies to the exact configuration and read the refund and renewal terms.
3. Nitrado: best for slot-based flexibility and location selection
Best for: owners who want to choose a player-slot tier and a data center near their community.
Nitrado’s FiveM page listed 18 slots for $9.79 per 30 days, 24 slots for $12.99 per 30 days, and 48 slots for $20.99 per 30 days. Custom configurations are presented from 18 to 600 slots and durations from 3 to 365 days. The provider also advertises txAdmin, automated or daily backups, DDoS protection, multi-language support, and the ability to upgrade or downgrade configurations.
Its location selector includes options such as Frankfurt, London, New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, Singapore, Tokyo, and Sydney. Availability and final pricing can vary by configuration, so select the region your players will use before comparing costs. Nitrado’s plan presentation uses “unlimited RAM and CPU” language; do not interpret that as unlimited dedicated physical resources. Ask what resources and limits apply to the chosen plan.
The listed 600-slot custom range is not a guarantee that a server can actually sustain that many players, or that it is authorized to do so under Cfx.re’s rules. Hardware, resources, configuration, and applicable Element Club access remain relevant.

Verdict: A strong fit if a clear slot tier and a broad location selector matter more to you than published hardware detail. Confirm resource allocation and backup terms rather than inferring them from the slot number.

4. GPORTAL: best for a simple, beginner-oriented order flow
Best for: private servers and new owners who want to select a region and slot count without managing a VPS.
GPORTAL’s page lists standard configurations from 10 to 48 slots. The displayed examples included 10 slots at $9 per 30 days, 10 slots for 90 days at $24.30, and 48 slots at $36.95 per 30 days for Dallas. Those are examples rather than a global price list; check the chosen location and term. The 90-day figure works out to $8.10 per 30 days, but that comparison is useful only if you are willing to prepay for the longer period.
The provider advertises scripts, backup storage, DDoS protection, and a Cfx Marketplace connection for FiveM and RedM content. Its product page advertises 50 GB of backup storage. That storage figure alone does not establish backup frequency, retention, whether an external database is included, or how restoration works; confirm those details before relying on it. GPORTAL also advertises launch in under three minutes. That refers to provisioning, not installing a framework, importing a database, configuring permissions, or testing a public RP server.

Verdict: Consider it for uncomplicated deployment and a small server, but compare the price at your actual location and verify backup restoration details.
5. ZAP-Hosting: best for direct file tooling and Enhanced experimentation
Best for: owners who want FTP and resource management, run several game types, or are evaluating GTA V Enhanced compatibility.
ZAP-Hosting advertises FiveM hosting from $9.16/month and a one-time lifetime-server option from $80.62. These are starting signals, not a confirmed price for a particular public-server configuration. Check what resources, recurring costs, and support are included. “Lifetime” should not be read as guaranteed service for the customer’s lifetime without reviewing the current contract terms.

The page advertises DDoS protection, a web interface, FTP access, txAdmin, and custom scripts/resources. It also presents FiveM support for GTA V Enhanced as Early Access. The page warns that Asset Escrow for paid marketplace resources is not yet supported in that Enhanced offering and recommends Legacy for many paid scripts.
Main limitation: Enhanced compatibility is not just a question of whether the server starts. Frameworks, scripts, assets, and paid resources may behave differently, and Early Access features can change. A broad game catalogue also does not establish better FiveM support or hardware than another provider.
Verdict: Worth comparing if file-level management or Enhanced testing is important. For an established server with paid resources, verify each dependency or remain on Legacy until the full stack has been tested.
6. xREALM: best additional official alternative
Best for: international communities comparing another officially listed provider and buyers interested in NVMe-based plans.

xREALM’s FiveM page shows 10-, 24-, and 48-slot tiers and advertises global locations, 24/7 support, DDoS protection, NVMe storage, and performance-focused CPU/RAM tiers. The captured product page did not show a concrete public monthly price; it directs users to configure a server. Obtain the price for your chosen region and configuration before comparing it with the figures above.
Main limitation: Terms such as “performance CPU” and “premium performance” are not hardware specifications. A displayed review score is not an independent measure of uptime, latency, or support quality.
Verdict: A reasonable extra official-host option, particularly if its configured location and plan suit your player base. Ask for exact resource limits and compare the final checkout price.

Start with the people who will play
Pick a data center near the majority of your players, not simply near the server owner. Location can affect ping, but the player’s ISP, routing, peering, and DDoS mitigation also matter. If possible, test from the regions your community uses and compare both typical and worst-case ping. Do not rely on a provider’s “low latency” claim as a substitute for testing.

There are three different numbers to keep separate:

- Plan slots: the number a host sells or displays for a plan.
- Cfx.re authorization: the capacity permitted by the server setup and applicable subscription.
- Practical capacity: the player load the server can handle with its CPU, memory, scripts, database, assets, and configuration.
Cfx.re’s hosting documentation says servers support up to 48 players by default; hosting more than 48 requires the relevant FiveM Element Club subscription. Cfx.re also discusses OneSync capabilities up to 128 slots and OneSync Infinity configurations up to 2,048. Those figures do not mean a rental plan automatically supports that many players smoothly or that an Element Club subscription is included. Confirm authorization requirements and the host’s actual plan limits.
Choose RAM-based or slot-based pricing for the right reason
- Slot-based plans are easy to understand for a small private server, but may reveal little about CPU and RAM.
- RAM-based plans make one resource limit visible and can suit a growing or heavily modded setup, but RAM alone does not predict player capacity.
There is no reliable universal rule for how much RAM a given number of FiveM players needs. Load varies with frameworks such as ESX or QBCore, resource count and quality, streamed maps and vehicles, clothing, database activity, voice systems, OneSync configuration, and player connection churn. Start with a modest configuration, add resources incrementally, monitor actual usage, and scale after observing real load.
Check control, recovery, and exit options
txAdmin is a web-based management and monitoring panel included with FXServer. It supports server control, configuration validation, resource management, monitoring, and an in-game admin menu; Cfx.re says it is included with FXServer builds above artifact 2524 and normally does not need a separate download. Read the txAdmin documentation and confirm how your chosen host exposes it.
Ask each provider about backup frequency, retention, database coverage, off-server storage, self-service restoration, and whether you can download a copy. “Backups included” can mean different things: GPORTAL advertises 50 GB of backup storage, Nitrado advertises automated or daily backups, and Shockbyte advertises automatic backups. Keep an independent copy of server files, configuration, and database. Before purchase, also confirm file and database export procedures, location migration options, refund eligibility, and support channels.
Match the host to your technical comfort
A managed game host usually provides faster setup, preconfigured FiveM/txAdmin, game-specific controls, and often bundled backups or DDoS protection. In exchange, hardware details can be less transparent, management can be tied to a provider panel, and you may have less control than on a VPS.
A VPS or dedicated server can offer more control and may suit an experienced operator or larger community. The owner then takes responsibility for operating-system security and updates, firewalling, monitoring, backups, and recovery; DDoS protection may be weaker or cost extra. Cfx.re documents Windows and Linux server setup, but a managed host is generally the simpler route for a first server. Choose a VPS only if you are prepared to administer it.
FiveM hosting setup checklist
- Create a Cfx Portal account and obtain a server license key. A host does not remove this requirement; the owner must associate a Cfx account license key with the instance. See Cfx.re’s server setup guide.
- Choose a host and data-center region close to the player base.
- Select a starting plan based on the intended workload, not a headline slot count alone.
- Add the license key through the host’s setup process.
- Open txAdmin and confirm that you can control and monitor the server.
- Install a framework or recipe, then add resources in small batches.
- Configure and test the database and any voice or external services.
- Set admin permissions securely; do not share credentials casually.
- Configure restarts and backups, and test that a backup can actually be restored.
- Keep an independent copy of server files and database, then test with several players before a public launch.
- Monitor resource and CPU usage under real load; upgrade when observed demand calls for it.
Legacy or GTA V Enhanced?
Do not choose a host based only on whether its control panel can launch an Enhanced server. Compatibility depends on the full stack: framework, scripts, assets, database integrations, and paid marketplace resources. ZAP-Hosting explicitly labels its Enhanced support Early Access and warns that Asset Escrow support for paid marketplace resources is not yet available in that offering. For a mature modded community, Legacy may remain the safer choice until every dependency has been tested. For a migration, test a copy of the server and verify each resource before moving the live community.
