BisectHosting is the best choice for most HumanitZ players because the official HumanitZ FAQ points users to it for rental hosting, and it offers instant setup, multiple locations, DDoS protection, backups, and a dedicated control panel. Nodecraft is better for small groups that do not need a server online constantly, while Host Havoc is the stronger conventional 24/7 alternative. Technical users should also consider self-hosting on a VPS or dedicated machine.
This guide compares five managed providers and one self-hosting option. “Dedicated server” here means a persistent HumanitZ server instance or hosting approach—not six individual public communities.
Quick verdict
| Provider or option | Best for | Always online? | Price signal | Main advantage | Main drawback |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BisectHosting | Most users | Yes, depending on plan | Observed configurator example: $3 per GB monthly; 8 GB shown at $23.99/month | Officially referenced by HumanitZ, with backups and many locations | Location availability and RAM-based cost can vary |
| Nodecraft | Flexible small groups | Premium yes; Lite sleeps | 5 GB Lite: $14.90 recurring; 5 GB Premium: $24.98 recurring | Wake & Play, cloud saves, and game switching | Lite is not a 24/7 server |
| Host Havoc | Traditional 24/7 hosting | Yes, subject to plan | Advertised from $15/month | TCAdmin tools, logs, backups, and restores | Starting price may not include higher-resource plans or add-ons |
| Shockbyte | Beginners | Verify the selected plan | Check current checkout pricing | Simple HumanitZ deployment and setup guidance | Less transparent public pricing evidence |
| Supercraft | Technical users | Verify the selected plan | Verify current pricing | Detailed HumanitZ-specific technical documentation | Available evidence does not establish a complete commercial comparison |
| Self-hosted VPS or dedicated machine | Maximum control | Owner-controlled | Hardware or VPS cost | Full access to files, configuration, and operating system | You manage networking, updates, security, backups, and uptime |
Prices are signals from the referenced listings, not guaranteed quotes. Billing term, location, taxes, promotions, resource upgrades, and add-ons can change the checkout total.
What a HumanitZ dedicated server is
HumanitZ supports dedicated servers, self-hosting, and third-party rental hosting, with a current official player cap of 24. The game’s official FAQ confirms that it can be played offline or online and that dedicated servers can be hosted through SteamCMD or a rental provider.

“Dedicated” usually means a dedicated game instance, not an entire physical machine reserved for one customer. Confirm the distinction before paying for a plan.
1. BisectHosting: best overall
BisectHosting is the safest starting point for most groups. HumanitZ’s official FAQ specifically directs players to BisectHosting for rental hosting. That is useful evidence of compatibility and recognition, but it is not independent proof that Bisect has the best latency, uptime, or support in every region.
Its HumanitZ page advertises instant setup, free DDoS protection, three days of free backups, 21 worldwide locations, game swapping, and a custom control panel. Its beginner guide covers installation, configuration, and updating.
An observed configurator displayed $3 per GB monthly and an 8 GB example at $23.99 per month, with discounts for longer billing periods. At least one selected location showed as out of stock, so treat those figures as examples rather than a universal price.
Choose it if: you want the least technical setup, several location choices, and straightforward backup administration.
Skip it if: the nearest location is unavailable or a RAM-based plan costs more than your small group needs.
2. Nodecraft: best for flexible play schedules
Nodecraft offers two materially different HumanitZ experiences. Its Lite plans use a sleep-and-wake model, while Premium plans are intended to remain online continuously. Lite is attractive for a private group that plays together at predictable times; it is a poor fit for a public community whose members may join at any hour.
The HumanitZ page advertises Wake & Play, cloud saves, backups, DDoS protection, a control panel, and the ability to switch supported games or server instances. Observed recurring prices included $14.90 per month for 5 GB Lite and $23.84 for 8 GB Lite. Premium examples were $24.98 for 5 GB and $39.98 for 8 GB per month. First-month promotional prices were lower, so compare the recurring rate rather than the introductory offer.

Choose it if: the server can sleep when nobody is playing, or you value game switching and cloud-based management.
Skip it if: you need an always-available server and are considering Lite rather than Premium.
3. Host Havoc: best conventional 24/7 option
Host Havoc advertises HumanitZ hosting from $15 per month and emphasizes its own hardware, modern Xeon and Ryzen CPUs, NVMe storage, and high-capacity network uplinks. Its management stack includes a TCAdmin panel, web console, file manager, log viewer, offsite backups, and restore tools.
That combination makes it a strong fit for owners who want a conventional always-on game server and practical administration features. The $15 figure is a starting price, not a promise that every location or player count will fit that plan. Vendor claims about outperforming competitors should be treated as marketing unless independently benchmarked.

4. Shockbyte: best for a low-friction setup
Shockbyte sells a HumanitZ-specific product and provides a setup guide aimed at avoiding manual dedicated-server installation. Its documentation also highlights the in-game server browser and recommends a unique server name so players can identify the correct world.
The available product evidence did not expose a stable public recurring price, so check the current cart before publishing or purchasing. Do not label Shockbyte the cheapest or fastest without current pricing and independent regional testing.

Choose it if: you want a provider-specific HumanitZ deployment flow and do not want to install SteamCMD yourself.
Skip it if: transparent long-term pricing, detailed public hardware information, or independently documented performance is essential.
5. Supercraft: best-documented technical alternative
Supercraft’s HumanitZ guide, updated March 9, 2026, documents SteamCMD installation, the dedicated-server App ID, configuration files, and launch commands. It is particularly useful for technically comfortable owners who want to understand what the provider is automating.
The guide recommends roughly 6–8 GB of RAM for a server, but that is practical provider guidance—not an official universal requirement. The available evidence does not establish a reliable current Supercraft price, location list, or full backup and cancellation comparison, so verify those details before ranking it ahead of the larger providers.
Choose it if: HumanitZ-specific documentation and visibility into the underlying setup are priorities.
Skip it if: you need a clearly verified commercial plan with published pricing and broad location information.
6. Self-hosting on a VPS or dedicated machine: best for control
Self-hosting is a serious alternative, not merely a way to avoid paying a game-hosting subscription. HumanitZ documents Windows and Linux installation, LinuxGSM, Docker-based approaches, configuration files, and SteamCMD deployment. You retain control over the operating system, server files, save data, firewall, and automation.
The trade-off is that you also own every failure. You must handle security updates, game updates, backups, monitoring, automatic restarts, firewall rules, and recovery. A home connection may also be unusable: the HumanitZ wiki says self-hosting requires a dedicated public IPv4 address. Carrier-grade NAT, shared IPv4, or blocked inbound traffic can prevent players from connecting.

How much RAM does a HumanitZ server need?
There is no official universal dedicated-server specification in the supplied documentation. For a small private world, starting around 6–8 GB of RAM is a sensible practical range when the provider offers it. A community Docker project lists 4 GB as a minimum and 8 GB as recommended, while Supercraft suggests approximately 6–8 GB.
Requirements vary with concurrent players, world activity, server settings, save size, and future updates. HumanitZ’s official 24-player cap does not mean every 6–8 GB plan will run 24 players smoothly.
Steam’s client requirements—Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-8600K, 16 GB RAM, and a GTX 1060—describe the playable client, not a headless dedicated server. A dedicated server normally does not need a gaming GPU.
After launch, monitor memory use, CPU saturation, simulation or tick performance if exposed, crashes, restart frequency, save size, backup completion, and player reports of rubber-banding.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Ports, discovery, and configuration
The HumanitZ wiki lists these default ports:
| Port | Protocol | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| 7777 | UDP | Game traffic |
| 27015 | UDP | Steam query traffic |
| 8888 | TCP | RCON, described by the wiki as mandatory |
On a managed host, follow that provider’s panel instructions; ports may be assigned or proxied differently. On a self-hosted machine, configure the firewall and router correctly.
The wiki’s example configuration includes:
ServerName="HumanitZ [Dedicated]"
Password=""
SaveName="DedicatedSaveMP"
SearchID="HumanitZ_Dedicated"
Do not include the word “Official” in the server name: the configuration documentation warns that it can prevent the server from starting or appearing in the list.

- ACCESSORIES: The product will be delivered in a single box containing the 6U network rack along with essential accessories including screws & cage nuts and casters.
A documented launch example is:
-log -port=7777 -queryport=27015 -steamservername=MyDedicatedServer
Because one search result presents the query-port syntax differently, use the syntax in the current server files or your provider’s documentation rather than assuming every version accepts identical parameters.
A custom SearchID can put a server into a specific searchable group. Players may not find it in the default list unless they search using that ID. Give your group the exact server name and SearchID, and use a distinctive name rather than a generic one.
Managed hosting versus self-hosting
| Factor | Managed host | VPS or dedicated machine |
|---|---|---|
| Setup | Usually panel-assisted or instant | Manual and technical |
| Updates | Often panel-assisted | Owner-managed |
| Ports | Provider-managed or documented | Owner-managed |
| Backups | May be included or paid | Owner-managed |
| Uptime | Depends on provider infrastructure and plan | Depends on your machine and network |
| Control | Moderate to high | Maximum |
| Cost | Predictable subscription | Hardware, VPS, bandwidth, power, storage, and administration time |
HumanitZ hosting checklist
- Choose a location near the largest cluster of players.
- Select enough RAM headroom for your expected concurrent players; begin around 6–8 GB for a small group.
- Confirm whether the plan is genuinely 24/7 or uses sleep/wake behavior.
- Set a unique server name, password, save name, and PvE or PvP settings.
- Create an initial backup before inviting the group.
- Test discovery through the in-game browser and, if applicable, the SearchID.
- Have a second player join and verify latency and save persistence.
- Schedule backups and restarts where the panel supports them.
- Record how to download, restore, and independently preserve a save.
- Before each game update, back up the world, update the files, restart, and test compatibility.
Troubleshooting common problems
The server is running but invisible
Check the server name, SearchID, query port, firewall, and whether players are searching the correct category. A custom SearchID may require players to search for that exact ID.
Players cannot connect
Confirm the game port, query port, public IPv4 address, firewall rules, and provider-assigned ports. Home hosting behind CGNAT or blocked inbound traffic may not work at all.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The server appears but cannot be joined
Check that server and client versions match, the password is correct, the server has finished starting, and the provider has not assigned a different port or instance address.
The server disappears after a configuration change
Restore the last working configuration, remove unsupported launch parameters, and check the server log. Avoid “Official” in the server name.
An update causes crashes or incompatibility
Restore the pre-update backup, confirm the server files and player clients are on compatible versions, then retry the update after checking the provider’s current HumanitZ instructions.
The save is corrupted or rolled back
Stop the server before restoring, identify the newest known-good complete backup, preserve the damaged files separately, and verify that both world and configuration files were restored.

Final recommendations
Choose BisectHosting for the simplest all-round rental route and the strongest direct connection to HumanitZ’s official hosting guidance. Choose Nodecraft Premium when the server must stay online, or Nodecraft Lite when sleep/wake hosting suits a small private group. Choose Host Havoc for a traditional 24/7 panel with explicit backup and restore tooling. Shockbyte is a reasonable beginner-focused alternative, while Supercraft is most useful when its technical documentation and current commercial offering match your needs. Choose self-hosting only when you are prepared to manage the entire server stack.
