For a quick game without installing anything, search Google for Block Breaker, snake, minesweeper, solitaire, tic tac toe or pac-man, then choose the playable Google result if it appears. Block Breaker is the standout 2025-era addition; Snake and Minesweeper are dependable picks Google itself recommends in Search tips. Availability can vary by country, language, device and Search interface, so no result card is guaranteed to appear for everyone.
These are browser-based diversions, not a permanent catalogue: Google can change or remove Search features. The Chrome Dinosaur Game is included as a bonus because it is a famous Google game, but it launches through Chrome—not a Google Search result.

1. Block Breaker: the 2025-era arcade pick
Search Block Breaker and select Play on the game card if it is offered. The game puts a paddle-and-ball Breakout-style challenge inside Google Search, with colored blocks and reported additions such as power-ups, extra balls and TNT. On desktop, move the paddle with the left and right arrow keys; on a touchscreen, move it by touching or tapping. Keep the ball in play and clear the blocks to progress.
Block Breaker is the list’s most relevant newer addition: it was reported as a Google Search game in January 2025, with desktop web, mobile web and Google app availability. 2. Snake: best for replay value
Search snake or play snake, then choose Play on Google’s interactive result. Steer with the arrow keys on a keyboard or touch controls on mobile, collect items and avoid both the walls and your growing tail. If a settings or gear control appears, check it for options to change the mode or appearance; the controls and choices may differ across interfaces.
Snake is easy to learn but rewards repeated attempts as the snake grows and space gets tight. Google’s Search tips page lists Snake among the games available directly in Search. Start with the short query rather than a phrase like “snake game online,” which may prioritize unrelated websites.
3. Minesweeper: best for puzzle fans
Search minesweeper and select Play if the Google game card appears. Reveal squares while using the numbered clues to work out where mines are. A number tells you how many mines touch that square—including diagonally—so a “1” means one mine is among its neighboring squares. Mark suspected mines and avoid opening squares until the clues support your choice.

The game may offer difficulty settings; choose an easier board if you are learning, and move up when you want a denser puzzle. Exact settings and board layouts can change, so use what the live game presents rather than expecting fixed dimensions. Minesweeper takes more concentration than Snake, but a round makes a good five-to-ten-minute challenge. Google also names it in its Search tips.
4. Solitaire: best for an easy solo game
Search solitaire and choose the Google game card rather than an ad or a third-party result. If a difficulty choice is shown, select one to deal the cards. The Search version is based on familiar Klondike-style play: build descending sequences in alternating colors in the tableau, and move cards into suit piles in ascending order. Use the game’s restart or new-game control if a deal stalls.
Solitaire needs no opponent and is easy to dip into on a larger screen or a phone. Google’s Search tips page specifically recommends searching for Solitaire to find a game in Search. What appears around the card—and the options it offers—can vary.

5. Tic-Tac-Toe: best for a shared-screen match
Search tic tac toe. If the game appears, choose whether to play against the computer or another person, and select a difficulty if one is offered. In a two-player game, pass the same device back and forth; take turns placing Xs and Os, aiming to line up three horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

It is a convenient choice for a quick parent-and-child or office-break match, not a deep strategy game. Google has previously documented Tic-Tac-Toe among games playable through Search, but button labels and available options may change. Google’s overview of Search Easter eggs also names it.
6. PAC-MAN: best for arcade nostalgia
Search pac-man or Google Pac-Man, then look for a playable Google result or game card. When available, use arrow keys on desktop or the on-screen controls on mobile to guide Pac-Man through the maze, eat dots and avoid ghosts; power items let you turn the chase around briefly.

Google has previously included Pac-Man among the games playable through Search, and its best-known Google version also appeared as an interactive Doodle for the arcade game’s 30th anniversary. Search results and Doodle presentations are not the same thing, and neither guarantees that the same playable card will appear today. Treat this as a worthwhile nostalgia search, not a permanent feature.

This one is often grouped with Google’s hidden games, but it is a Chrome game, not a Google Search game. In Chrome, open chrome://dino where supported, or try loading a page while offline to reach Chrome’s offline screen. Press the spacebar on desktop to jump; on mobile, tap the screen. Dodge cacti and flying obstacles as the run speeds up.

What counts as a hidden Google Search game?
Here, a Search game means an interactive Google result launched by a search phrase—not just a game website found in the results. A Google Doodle game is a related but separate experience that may be available through a Doodle page rather than an ordinary query. The Dinosaur Game belongs to Chrome. Visual tricks such as “do a barrel roll” are Easter eggs, but they are not games, so they are not part of this list.
The Search games generally launch in the browser or Google app without a separate game download. That does not mean they work offline: you need Search to load, and controls or access can differ between desktop and mobile. Of the games here, Chrome’s dinosaur is the offline exception.
If the Google game card does not appear
- Try the exact short query. Search
snake,minesweeperor the game’s name instead of a long question; for Snake, tryplay snakeas an alternative. - Use the main Google Search results. Make sure you are not on the Images, News or Shopping tab, and look near the top of the results for a playable card.
- Switch how you search. Try a desktop browser if mobile web fails, or the Google app if the browser result does not load. A different device is a useful check, not a guarantee.
- Check whether the card loads but fails to run. If it appears but stays blank or unresponsive, a script blocker or restrictive network setting may be interfering. Temporarily disabling an aggressive blocker for the page can help diagnose the issue; restore your usual protections afterward.
- Consider regional or temporary availability. Country, language, device, browser and Search interface experiments can affect what appears. Trying another language or region may help identify a difference, but changing location is not a reliable fix.
If the result remains missing, it may have been limited or retired rather than hidden by a mistake on your end. Google does not maintain one complete, permanent public catalogue of Search games.
