These eight browser FPS games cover very different tastes: quick arcade matches, casual egg-themed combat, objective-based arenas, tactical rounds, and battles with vehicles. The list is organized by what each game offers, not by player count or a measured ranking. Browser access also does not guarantee that a game will load or perform well on every device, in every region, or on a managed network.
Which browser FPS should you try first?
| Game | Best fit | What sets it apart |
|---|---|---|
| Krunker | Fast arcade matches | Ranked play, customization, weapons, challenges, and servers |
| Shell Shockers | Casual, lighthearted combat | Egg-themed shooter with documented browser and WebGL requirements |
| Venge.io | Simple arena objectives | Weapon choices, capture points, and skill cards earned by capturing areas |
| War Brokers | Infantry and vehicles | On-foot combat alongside helicopters, tanks, and APCs |
| Repuls.io | Sci-fi battlefield combat | Vehicles, aircraft, heavy weapons, grappling hooks, equipment, and progression |
| Forward Assault Remix | Tactical rounds | Buying and bomb objectives |
| Bullet Force | Conventional military-style action | A familiar military-shooter presentation; current browser-PC detail is limited |
| ev.io | Minimalist futuristic arenas | Streamlined sci-fi arena combat; an optional client is available |
1. Krunker: fast arcade action with ranked play
Krunker is a strong starting point if you want a quick, movement-focused arcade shooter with more to pursue than a single casual match. Its game interface offers ranked play, customization, weapons, challenges, and servers, giving it a broader set of competitive and personalization options than a bare-bones arena game. Play Krunker.
The official page displays a network-lag notice that suggests Chrome at 60 FPS or the official client. Treat that as guidance, not a performance promise: browser version, hardware, and network conditions can all affect how it runs. The client is an alternative, not a prerequisite for browser access.
2. Shell Shockers: a casual egg-themed shooter
Shell Shockers puts a playful wrapper around online FPS combat, making it an easy pick for readers who prefer a less serious tone. Its official FAQ says the game requires WebGL and lists Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, Opera, and Brave as supported browsers. Check the Shell Shockers FAQ for current requirements and supported versions, since these can change.

The FAQ gives rough system guidance of a 2.0 GHz processor, 4 GB RAM, a WebGL-capable graphics accelerator, broadband, a keyboard and mouse or trackpad, and a browser compatible with WebGL and WebSockets. These are vendor-published guidelines, not a guarantee that every system meeting them will run the game smoothly.
What to try if it runs poorly
- For lag, the FAQ suggests closing extra tabs and background downloads, trying a nearer server, or using a wired connection where possible.
- For low frame rates, it suggests closing other apps, disabling Auto Detail, High Resolution, and Shadows, and updating video drivers.
- The FAQ says, “60 is best!” as frame-rate advice. That is a target, not a guaranteed result on every computer.
The same FAQ says, “New Maps are added monthly and we are constantly looking at future awesome features!” That is the publisher’s statement about its plans and cadence, not an independently verified update schedule.

3. Venge.io: straightforward arena objectives
Venge.io suits players who want an uncomplicated arena shooter built around capturing points. You choose weapons, compete for control of areas, and earn skill cards by capturing them. That objective loop gives matches a clear focus without the heavier tactical setup of a buy-and-bomb game. Play Venge.io.
4. War Brokers: bring vehicles into the fight
War Brokers is the pick for players who want more than infantry combat. Alongside on-foot shooting, its battles include helicopters, tanks, and APCs, and its developer page documents multiple objective modes. That mix makes it a better fit for combined-arms action than a compact arena duel. Play War Brokers.

The developer describes mouse aiming and firing, so a mouse is a compatible desktop control—not a special purchase required to play. For performance, the developer recommends keeping few tabs open and using fullscreen.
5. Repuls.io: a sci-fi battlefield with vehicles and gear
Repuls.io leans into futuristic battlefield variety: the 2026 comparison describes vehicles, aircraft, heavy weapons, grappling hooks, equipment, and progression. It is a natural choice if you want a broader sci-fi combat sandbox rather than only close-quarters arena rounds. Play Repuls.io.

A 2026 comparison reports a rating on CrazyGames, but any platform rating is specific to that platform and can change over time. It is not a universal score or a player-count measure.
7. Bullet Force: conventional military-style shooting
Bullet Force offers a conventional military-style direction for players looking for a more familiar shooter presentation. The available 2026 comparison provides less detail about the current PC browser experience than it does for several other entries, so do not assume the browser and mobile versions are identical. Play Bullet Force.
8. ev.io: minimalist futuristic arena combat
ev.io is a leaner futuristic arena shooter for readers who want sci-fi combat without the emphasis on vehicles or tactical buying. Its official performance page notes that some users with monitors above 60 Hz may encounter browser network-performance issues. The optional client may be worth considering in that situation, but it is not required to access the browser game. Play ev.io.
What to check before launching a browser FPS
- Browser support: WebGL is required for Shell Shockers, and its FAQ lists supported modern browsers. Other games may have their own requirements.
- Performance: Graphics hardware, browser version, background activity, refresh rate, and network conditions can affect play. A game running in a browser is not a guarantee of smooth frame rates.
- Access: Regional availability and school or workplace network restrictions are not established for these titles. A site may be blocked even when the game itself is browser-based.
- Input: A mouse and keyboard are suitable for desktop FPS play; War Brokers specifically documents mouse aiming and firing. No gaming mouse purchase is necessary to try the games.
- Current status: Visit each official launch page to check whether it is currently available to you; the existence of a browser page does not establish live server health.
How to choose among them
- Choose Krunker for an arcade pace, ranked play, and customization.
- Choose Shell Shockers for a casual tone, after checking WebGL and browser compatibility.
- Choose Venge.io for a clear capture-point loop.
- Choose War Brokers or Repuls.io if vehicles and battlefield variety matter most.
- Choose Forward Assault Remix for tactical buying and bomb objectives.
- Try Bullet Force for military-style shooting, bearing in mind that current PC browser details are less complete.
- Choose ev.io for a minimalist futuristic arena, with the optional client as a possible alternative for some high-refresh-rate users.
There is no dependable, comparable 2026 player-count dataset for these eight games, so their order should not be read as a popularity ranking.
